A week of graphs (and Apptokens)

It ended up being a week involving a lot of graphs, but that’s okay because I do love graphs.
The first on Monday was an attempt to piece together Immutable’s financial numbers over the past couple of years. This was triggered by the company filing its FY22/22 report and additional alpha from an article in the Financial Review (paywalled).
My conclusion was that although Immutable’s revenue is rising — blue bar — it’s spending down its capital reserves much faster.
Tuesday was a recap of what’s happening with Limit Break’s new Apptokens protocol; something initiated by a GDC fireside chat between YGG’s Gabby Dizon and Limit Break’s Gabe Leydon in which Leydon was reported as commenting “unrestricted composability has been "a disaster" for crypto.

On Wednesday, it was back to another favourite current topic, bonkers-mad Japanese RPG TOYKO BEAST, which is integrating Razer ID’s new proof of humanness feature, which in turn uses Worldcoin’s iris scanning system.
Or maybe it will just use standard KYC via passport or driving license? Who knows?
Finally, I took another deep dive into the NFT trading patterns of Mythical’s NFL Rivals, noting that viewed through a USD lens, trading is static, but viewed through its underlying MYTH token lens, it’s booming.
That’s a very Apptokens’ approach.
Of course, the point of concentrating on the performance of NFL Rivals is less about that game and more about how Mythical’s marketplace and in-game trading features are working, as they will also be rolled out to support future games including FIFA Rivals and Pudgy Party.
