The best experiments are the ones that immediately go wrong and everyone forgets they ever happened.
That’s not been the case this week where I’ve been getting up an hour earlier than usual to write this daily Substack.
Indeed, on a basic level, the experiment has been a great success in that I’ve managed to get up and write something, plus only one person has unsubscribed.
Now the hard work starts.
My original plan was to get up an hour earlier — tick — and write a daily Substack that more than one person will pay money to receive — no tick yet.
And that’s the goal starting next week.
Of course, the tricky thing isn’t writing something daily; I’ve been doing that professionally for +20 years now.
But writing something useful enough for which people will directly pay will be a first for me. So over the coming weeks, any feedback from anyone paying for these new daily emails - especially in terms of content you want more/less of - will be appreciated.
For everyone else, you’ll still be getting the standard weekly long-form article. Any feedback on that will also be appreciated.
